Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani Celebrates National Youth Day with "Natun Bharat Jage"

Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani celebrated National Youth Day on January 12, 2025, with a series of motivational activities. In the afternoon, a special program titled "Natun Bharat Jage" (New India Awakens) was held at the Vivekananda Auditorium.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 350 students representing 17 schools, as well as several colleges and universities. The program was presided over by Revered Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission.



Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani Hosts "Amar Bharat Amor Bharat" Youth Convention

On August 15, 2024, a Youth Convention titled "Amar Bharat Amor Bharat" (My India, Immortal India) was organized at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani. The event was held in association with the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Kolkata.

Over 315 students, primarily at the higher secondary level, from 20 different schools, along with many school teachers, attended the program. Swami Vidyanathananda (Mahan Maharaj) from Ramakrishna Mission Mumbai, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Br. Rajib of Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, delivered a visual presentation titled "Ateet Bharater Gourab Gatha" (The Glorious Story of Ancient India), providing substantial documented support for the fundamental laws of science known in ancient times.



Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani Hosts "Jago Veer" Youth Conference

On December 9, 2024, Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani organized a Youth Conference titled "Jago Veer" (Awaken, Brave One!). The conference's primary objective was to explore various self-reliant programs aimed at socially and economically underprivileged youth.

The event was graced by Dr. Abhijit Samanta, S.D.O, Kalyani, who attended as the Chief Guest. Sri Sougata Patra, Deputy Magistrate, Kalyani, was present as a special guest. Other notable dignitaries included Dr. T. K. Kumar from BCKV, Mohanpur; Sri Sourav Das from MSME; and Smt. Suchandra Sadhu from Utkarsha Bangla, Government of West Bengal.

Approximately 125 participants from nearby areas attended the program. The majority of attendees were school or college dropouts, with a smaller number of students who are continuing their education.



Youth Convention on Contemporary Challenges and Youth Held at Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani

On March 31, 2025, the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium at Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani hosted a Youth Convention titled "Yuga Samasya o Yuva Samaj – Ek Alok Vartika" (Contemporary Challenges and Youth – A Torchbearer). The event was organized by the Madhya Banga Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Yuva Parishad.

The convention saw the participation of more than 130 students, primarily from the higher secondary level, representing various schools, colleges, and universities, alongside numerous school teachers. Swami Vedanuraganandaji Maharaj, Vice Principal of Vivekananda Centenary College, Ramakrishna Mission Boys Home, Rahara, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.



Youth Convention on Swami Vivekananda's Scientific Thought Held at University of Kalyani

Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani, in collaboration with the University of Kalyani, organized a Youth Convention on June 11, 2024, at Vidyasagar Hall. The event focused on Swami Vivekananda's scientific thought, titled "Swami Vivekanander Vijnan Chinta."

Swami Nityayogananda, Acharya, Probationer Training Centre, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered a discourse on the theme. Professor Amalendu Bhunia, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kalyani, attended as the Guest of Honour.

Br. Rajib of Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, gave a presentation titled "Prachin Bharater Gourav Gatha," discussing the glorious history of ancient Indian scientific thought with documented visual support. A total of 338 students attended the convention.


Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani Holds Summer Camp for Moral Development

Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, organized a two-week summer camp from May 15th to May 30th, 2024, focusing on the moral development of students from Class V to Class VIII. The program, held daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, saw the participation of 43 boys and girls.

Classes were led by three monastic members, two skilled volunteers, and one guest teacher. The curriculum included a variety of activities such as prayer, chanting, meditation, recitation, singing, painting, handicrafts, and yoga. Participants also received training in discipline through motivational stories and discussions.


Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani Hosts Introductory Workshop on 'The Cultural Heritage of India'

Ramakrishna Mission Kalyani organized an introductory workshop titled 'The Cultural Heritage of India' from September 14th to 18th, 2024. Held at the Vivekananda Auditorium of RKM Kalyani, the workshop was designed in alignment with Swami Vivekananda's perspectives on India's profound knowledge heritage and its contemporary relevance.

The program ran daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, consisting of two sessions separated by a one-hour lunch break. Thirty-five students from three neighboring colleges participated in the workshop.


Dhrupad Song Workshop at Ashrama Premises

A two-day Dhrupad Song Workshop was successfully conducted on March 8th and 9th, 2025, at the Ashrama premises. The program featured experts in the Khandarbani Gharana from Rabindra Bharati University, who led the sessions. A total of 40 students participated in the workshop.
